There’s nothing really wrong with this item, it just doesn’t really hold much and looks a little cheap. A really nice feature would be if the iPod was actually charging while it was plugged in here. That would make this so much more functional.

My daughter tells me she couldn’t do without it at college. She uses it all the time for the light to study and also plays her ipod through it for herself and her room mate. They are also sold at Target but they didn’t have pink.

I would have given 5 stars had the lamp also CHARGED my ipod while the ipod was plugged into lamp. And my ipod didn’t fit on the little front slot, but other than these 2 minor problems the lamp works and the volume is good.

I purchased these items in Red and Blue. The Red is closer to coral which didn’t work because purchased for my son’s Red Ipod Nano. The Blue is more of a pastel blue instead of Royal but we could live with it. The unit only plays the Ipod but won’t charge it so something to keep in mind. I was very disappointed in the seller’s return policy. I attempted to return the Red one and was told that they have a 2 week return policy which I had missed by a day. Usually return policy is at least 30 days.

I bought the Ihome desk lamp for my son to take to college and he seems to like it.
